We put in an effort for the investor Klövern to cultivate an actual atmosphere in the making of Stockholm’s newest city district: Söderstaden.
Many people seem to think that creating a city district is just a question of building a bunch of nice, modern-looking houses. And while that is certainly more than halfway there, it takes more than that to create an actual neighbourhood. So, the question is: how do you create a real neighbourhood atmosphere?
Our answer is to introduce to Klövern a number of softer principles for creating a quality living environment: diversity, freedom, sustainability, happiness, and communal space. We apply these principles in a range of workshops evolving Klövern to action.
