Växjö´s original Water Tower is a with a long history, standing as a landmark visible from far away on one of the towns highest peaks. With inspiration from this, we propose a 19 storeys high-rise housing, towering over the city centre. Furthermore, changes the building its shape depending on the viewing angle, likewise the atmosphere of the surrounding old oak trees.

The vision is to preserve the beautiful forest scenery, which provides a strong and specific identity to the site.

Our approach and how to establish a flow to the building, is by a minimum network of roads and paths, linking the building with the landscape scenery. In particularly the parking area through a sensitive terracing of integration to landscape.
