Bremen Stadtwerder is undergoing a transformation from industrial to city quarter. Located southeast of Bremen on a peninsula in the river Weser the former water utilities industries will make way for an urban mix of living, working and leisure facilities in the coming years; one of the city´s most important regenerations projects of the last decades.
The new Stadtwerder Stadhäuser is part of a larger plan with high quality residential buildings, adopting the idea of that so-called Bremen House, a type of town houses that is still an essential characteristic in the Hanseatic city.
The exterior of the neighborhood is an urban street front paved to provide a more urban lifestyle, whilst the interior offers the quality of a green and intimate yard with a wide variety of gardens, flowering bushes and fruit trees. Designed to heighten the simultaneous experience of nature, where sun and shade mingle.
